We have more than enough mountains where you can go with your touring skis. After a good snack in a mountain hut or at the summit, you can then zigzag down into the valley.
The Leogang-Saalfelden region and its surroundings are known for their ski tours at all levels of difficulty. You can find “short” ski tours lasting half an hour, as well as full-day tours.
If you don’t have your own ski tour equipment: in Pinzgau, you can hire suitable and complete equipment in almost every sports shop.
